Position Title: Inventor Relations Manager – Games Classification: Exempt Position Status: Full Time Reports To: Senior Vice President, Games Direct Reports: None Role Objectives: Work with the inventing community and use natural abilities to find great games for Moose, while supporting our toy business as necessary. Maintain and strengthen core partnerships through thoughtful communication, collaboration, and consistent follow-up to ensure long-term success. Contribute to the company’s growth strategy by researching market trends, identifying M&A and distribution opportunities, and helping evaluate and advance potential partnerships. Qualifications: · Board Game experience required. · Product development experience preferred. · Bachelor’s degree is preferred but not required. · Experience of working on licensed items preferred but not required. Responsibilities: In charge of pipeline of new ideas coming to the game department. Personally in charge of ideas that come through inventors. Lead on discovering and acting on new trends in the marketplace found through personal experience and places like podcasts, board games sites, tradeshows, YouTube, Tik Tok, Kickstarter, global trends and more. Work with licensing team on licensed opportunities. Manage full cycle of communication with partners from vetting of concept to accepting/returning tracking materials, to communication. Negotiation of win-win deals with our partners. Provide clear direction to external partners at what the Moose Games team is looking for. Pitching ideas to internal and external stakeholders and customers. Lead initial research and identify potential opportunities related to M&A activity. Manage the process of gathering, organizing, and communicating key information for M&A and strategic opportunities. Serve as the key contact for all game distribution partnerships. Ensure the company meets all contractual obligations tied to game deals and partnerships. Conduct early-stage trademark checks to assess name availability. Coordinate with Legal to clear trademarks for product and brand use. Approve royalties for release across all games contracts. Oversee the tracking and fulfillment of all contractual deliverables tied to game contracts.
