Chronology: The Game of All Time
Gameplay
Chronology: The Game of All Time is a simple yet engaging game that takes you on a trip throughout time. Consisting of a deck of cards with a historical event on one side and the year it occurred on the other, the object of the game is to place cards accurately within your timeline to build the longest timeline. Players start with one card (the baseline of their timeline) and on each turn, another player reads off the event on a card. And we’re not just talking the year of the American Revolution or the year Queen Elizabeth was crowned. Obscure cards like windshield wipers are invented and Disneyland opens will test your knowledge of time.
You must guess if the event comes before or after your baseline card. If you’re correct, you keep the card and add it to your timeline. If you’re incorrect, the card is discarded. On your next turn, you have to decide where the event falls in your new two-card timeline. It gets increasingly more difficult as the game goes on because the time gaps between events start to shrink! The first player to get to 10 cards in their timeline wins, but there’s no one stopping you from playing until your heart’s content!
