Neopets Battledome: War for the Obelisk, Jhudora’s Bluff, & Illusen’s Glade

I’m back with more from the world of Neopets! The trading card game is expanding, with new sets and structure decks to immerse yourself even further into Neopets world.

This time, I tried out some specialty decks, perfect for when you’re ready to add on to your collection:

  • War for the Obelisk Booster Pack
  • Jhudora’s Bluff Structure Deck
  • Illusen’s Glade Structure Deck

Fun Extras:

  • Faeries Playmat
  • Battledome Playmat
  • Jhudora Premier Card Deck Box + Art Sleeves
  • Fyora Premier Card Deck Box + Art Sleeves
  • Card Back Design Art Sleeves

War for the Obelisk

Introducing the Obelisk, a powerful object that has split the Neopets world into Factions that are competing to seek its power and learn its secrets. With this Booster Pack, you’ll get 24 card packs, each with 8 random cards inside. Collect Neopets, Equipment, Legends, Food, Paint Brushes, Potions, and more, all with the War for the Obelisk theme.

Introducing the Factions:

  • The Brute Squad
  • The Thieves Guild
  • The Sway
  • The Awakened
  • The Seekers
  • The Order of the Red Erisim

With the Faction cards, you can up your Neopets abilities, for example: by playing The Order of the Red Erisim card, as long as it has 5 or more Allegiance counters, whenever you deal damage to your opponent’s Neopet by card effect, deal 1 additional damage.

There’s also new Legends like The Duchess that are Faction-specific. With The Duchess, you roll 5 dice; store each result on your Sway Faction. Then if your Sway Faction has 5 matching cards stored on it, remove those results and take an extra turn after this one. For the rest of the game, whenever your roll a die, you may change its result to a result stored on your Sway Faction. If you do, remove that stored result from your Sway Faction

Jhudora’s Bluff

With this Structure Deck, you’ll receive a 60-card deck, 1 Grundo Code card, 10 Dice, a rule sheet and a Playsheet. Unlock a new theme centered around Jhudora, including themed Equipment, Potions, Food, and the Jhudora’s Bluff Location card.

You can play with the deck on its own or you can mix it into the rest of your collection, but don’t worry, you’ll know it’s part of the specialty Jhudora deck if it has her team icon in the top right corner of the card.

Here’s some of the specialty cards you’ll encounter:

  • Equipment: Jhodora’s Dark Collar, Jhudora Half Necklace, Jhudora’s Brush, Wand of the Dark Faerie
  • Potions: Caustic Potion, Noxious Nectar, Malice Potion
  • Food: Poisonous Lollypop, Purple Spotted Shroom, Dark Shroom, Toxic Shroom

Illusen’s Glade

With this Structure Deck, you’ll receive a 60-card deck, 1 Grundo Code card, 10 Dice, a rule sheet and a Playsheet. Unlock a new theme centered around Illusen, including themed Equipment, Potions, Food, and the Illusen’s Glade Location card.

Same goes for the Illusen’s Glade deck: you can play on its own or mix it with other decks, but you’ll always know it’s part of Illusen’s world if it has her team icon in the top right corner of the card.

Here’s some of the specialty cards you’ll encounter:

  • Equipment: Glave of Verdancy, Illusen’s Blade, Leaf Shield, Illusen Half Necklace, Illusen’s Comb, Illusen’s Staff
  1. Potions: Illusen’s Potion, Mud Mixture, Honey Potion, Illusen’s Earth Potion
  2. Food: Leaf Taco, Flower Cake, Illusen’s Cream Cookies

You can purchase these Structure Decks and Booster Packs on the Upper Deck website!
