Multiple wildfires have devastated the greater Los Angeles area, forcing more than 100,000 families to evacuate and destroying thousands of homes and communities. To provide comfort to the children and families affected, The Toy Association’s Toy Foundation (TTF) is hosting an industry-wide collection of product donations and cash contributions from the industry to sustain the critical relief efforts in place.
To make a product donation, send a completed donation form to TTFInfo@ToyFoundation.org. Cash donations are accepted online.
“Our hearts go out to all those affected by the devastating Los Angeles wildfires,” said Pam Mastrota, executive director of The Toy Foundation. “The road to recovery will be long and we are uniting the industry’s philanthropy to support as many children and families as possible. Whether you’re able to donate $50 or 500 toys, every contribution makes a difference to families who have just lost everything.”
TTF is able to quickly deliver the comfort of toys and essential relief supplies to children and families affected by natural disasters through its logistics partner, World Vision. The industry’s year-round donations to TTF has aided the deployment of nine truckloads of toys, along with water, face masks, hygiene kits, bedding, and more supplied by World Vision’s donors to areas of greatest need.
TTF will continue to monitor the situation to effectively provide toys and relief supplies to children and families affected.
The Toy Bank is the industry’s turnkey inventory management solution to deliver toys, the developmental benefits of play, and immense comfort to children in need. The Toy Bank has delivered play to more than 33 million children worldwide since 2003.
