We are delighted by the Court of International Trade’s swift, clear, and decisive ruling on tariff refunds. The Court confirmed that businesses are entitled to full refunds of unlawfully collected IEEPA tariffs.

This decision represents another important affirmation of the Rule of Law and provides clarity for businesses that have borne the financial burden of these unlawful tariffs. The ruling should now allow the refund process to move forward in an orderly and efficient manner.

Learning Resources and hand2mind are proud to have initiated this matter and delivered an historic victory for all Americans.

Why I Sued Trump over Tariffs — and Why I Won (New York Post)

My name is Rick Woldenberg. I run a family-owned toy company. I sued President Trump over tariffs. And I won at the Supreme Court. Here’s why.

Our company, Learning Resources, was founded by my mother, and traces back to a company purchased by my grandfather in 1916. We have always been located in northern Illinois. We have a small presence in California, through a company in LA called Educational Insights, founded in 1962, which we bought in 2006.

All of my children work for Learning Resources. We are a mission-driven business. We create products for schools and families to help their kids get a good start in life.

We have 500 employees in the United States. Much of our manufacturing takes place in China. READ MORE...

Learning Resources and hand2mind prevailed in our Supreme Court case against the implementation of tariffs under the International Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA) yesterday. I’m incredibly proud of our team for standing up against this illegal $133B tax, and fighting on behalf of the 500 employees who depend on us.

On a personal note, this case came to an end in spectacular fashion. I found out that we won the case while I was standing in the hospital with my 21-month-old daughter, who was preparing to get a small procedure done. I had to make a choice then that many working moms do: be present with my daughter or focus on work. I chose family.

I’m very privileged to work in my family business. We are an employee-first organization, and yesterday was no different. I’m incredibly grateful to our extended team for rallying around me and stepping in while I was focused on being there for my daughter.

Life isn’t convenient and this lawsuit wasn’t either. READ MORE...
